ABOUT US
"OUR DNA"
In 1978, Jay Goltz founded Artists Frame Service with the belief that picture framing could be done better. His business grew providing custom framing for artists and homeowners, as well as interior designers and corportions. He soon realized that businesses and designers needed a more comprehensive source for artwork. Chicago Art Source was born out of the desire to better serve this professional community. By hiring consultants with art and design degrees, providing award winning customer service and sourcing artwork from around the world, Jay built what has become the largest art and custom framing business in the country.
Located in Lincoln Park and occupying nearly an entire city block on Clybourn Avenue, Chicago Art Source and Artists Frame Service provide both corporate and residential services. Their 40,000 square foot production facility employs 60 craftsmen, stocks over 500,000 feet of picture frame moulding and utilizes the most state-of-the-art equipment. This combination of high-tech equipment and hand-skilled artisans produces a standard of quality unmatched in the industry.
Today, Jay operates three distinctive businesses with one common principle - he doesn't want customers satisfied, he wants them thrilled. Chicago Art Source, Artists Frame Service and their sister business, Jayson Home & Garden, have been nationally recognized for their unique products and award-winning service. Their professional reputation in the industry is built on 30 years of experience - one project at a time.
